The Thriftiest Alternative to Gel Nails!

the thriftiest alternative to gel nails
I know a lot of girls who squanders their money on manicures and pedicures. When I say squander, I mean $60 a session for nails that will last two weeks. Why they costs so much? I’ll probably never know because I’ve never gotten my nails done before. I’m a believer that if your manicurist, can do it, you can probably do it too. But that’s just me. When I don’t paint my own nails, I like to use these little press on nails and fool people that I got them down. I swear, I get the most compliments when I have them on. This particular product that I’m using is waterproof which is good news for us thrifty girls because this normally lasts for about one week until the adhesive starts to wear off. It comes with 24 nails so you can use a whole new set for another time! So… since that’s two weeks worth, I think it’s worth the $5.99 instead of $60.

Don’t you think?

I love fake drugstore nails! They look great and I get so many compliments too, and it's so much cheaper than shelling out the big money at the nail salon!

Thank you! I completely agree. I've never joined the hype for going to nail salons. Never even understood it.

I used to use these religiously when I was in school. But they always used to break off my nail bed. This was a while back though so I'm sure glue has drastically improved. I'd totally wear these again.

The design looks great! I've never tried fake nails from drugstores because I've always been afraid of hitting it somewhere and it getting peeled off along with my real nails. But then again, that can happened with fake nails from the salon too 🙁

You've sorta inspired me to check out some when I go to the drugstore next time! ^^

Awwww, I was afraid at first too specially at the thought that they are, afterall, from drugstores. But I get the waterproof one, just to get a tougher adhesive. I'm not much of a fan when it comes to wearing them all the time, I'm more into my natural nails, but it's nice to try something new once in a while. Hope you give it a try sometime soon!

Great option for glam nails! I hardly do anything with my nails so this can be superb!

I totally don't like the idea of waiting for my nail polish to dry, so I tried this alternative. I think it's pretty good. Not for every week, but still really cute!

The nails look great! I do love a mani/pedi every now and then to treat myself, but you're so right, it does get expensive.

Oh wow, this set is just gorgeous!!! I'm the laziest LAZE when it comes to finger nails…most days i have nothing on and my nails are neatly trimmed down. I love blues, teals and greens on my toe nails and have never spent more than $15 on my nails! I totally would do a special mani if I had the occasion but I don't like the idea of spending money on nails that will just get chipped off and worn off in time when I can be buying food or paying for a cab!

Totally love how practical you are hun! I always just buy nail polishes. Of course, I don't buy the cheap ones. I believe that when you want to invest something like a nail polish, it has to be the good quality ones like Essie. Love their product!
