I don’t know if any of you has noticed, but I’m a self-proclaimed foodie. Actually, I don’t think you can say that I’m self-proclaimed anymore because I became a Yelp Elite last year. I was inspired to pursue the title after reading this detailed review about a Vietnamese restaurant from a guy I’m not going to name. Every detail written for the review was carefully articulated to represent an honest opinion for that particular restaurant. It was beautiful.

From then on, I cleaned up my two to three sentence reviews to something more detailed to share my experience. Luckily, I got some people to vote my reviews as useful, funny and cool which helped me earn the title after the nomination.

One of the first restaurants that I reviewed was Ramen Sora. I’m not much of a ramen fan unless it’s miso ramen deliciously prepared by them. Check out my review here.

What’s your favorite ramen restaurant?

In the Middle

I’ve had my share of sheer laziness with nothing but hours of binge watching tv shows on Netflix. For the past few weeks, I thrived on nothing but the literal meaning of “Netflix and chill”, and I am not ashamed of my unhealthy habits. But I put a stop to my uneventful living by going to shows and concerts for the past weeks.

Sunday: Elli Goulding @ Mandalay Bay

Honestly, I’m exhausted, but I feel soulful.
In addition to my eventful week, my mother visited me from Texas with my step-dad. It’s been a while since I’ve seen them, so it was a treat to have their company for the weekend.

I’ve also been eating great food lately which worries the sh*t out of me because it’s catching up with me! I think it’s time to hit the gym once again!

Besides that, life has been good over here, and I hope yours is just as easy going!

One of my favorite dishes from Sweet Tomatoes is Joan’s Broccoli Madness Salad. I always have to have this salad there or else it’s as if I never went to the restaurant at all! Anyway, I loved it so much that I wanted to make it myself! Here’s my version:

Ingredients:

2 heads raw broccoli
1/2 cup cashews
1/4 bacon bits
1/3 dried cranberries
1/4 chopped red onion
Pepper (optional)

Dressing:
1 cup mayonnaise
3 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoon vinegar

Directions:
Rinse the broccoli and pat them dry.  Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl except for the dressing. In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise, vinegar, and sugar. Stir it together until you have a smooth consistency. Add the dressing with the broccoli combination and toss until it is evenly blended. Chill the salad for about 30 minutes in the fridge, and enjoy!

Wine for Days!

I don’t know about you, but I like to collect wine and alcohol. I’m not a big drinker, but when an occasion arises, I’d like to have a bottle ready to open. One such instance was when my coworkers wanted to celebrate Purim last week. I wasn’t sure what the significance of this holiday was until I saw the event on Snapchat the day before holding the office party. I was so driven by the festivity that I wanted to contribute to the fun. I brought a bottle of Stella Rosa for everyone to enjoy, and I just want to say that never in a million years would I have thought that I would feel a buzz in the workplace. Still, it was fun, and everyone had a great time exchanging gifts and challenging each other to drink more.

I hope you had a wonderful week! Let me know what kinds of things you collect!

Who else is addicted to Tsum Tsum? I used to play the game until I came into terms with myself; Gaming is not my strong suit. Still, I can’t help but admire these chibi-looking characters! How adorable are they?!
